ICHIMI (TOGARASHI) SPICE
 
Ichimi in Japanese means “one flavor chili pepper” and consists of ground red chili pepper. Ichimi is also mentioned together with the word Togarashi meaning “Chinese mustard spice” which dates back to the
16th century when the first European and Chinese traders arrived on Japan’s Southern island Kyushu.
